Instructions

  1. Colloidal Oatmeal

    • 1
Form a powder from the oats.

Put 1 cup of oats into a food processor. Grind the oats to a powder, which will create what is known as colloidal oatmeal. According to Colloidal Oatmeal, the oat powder disperses throughout the water, rather than sinking.

    • 2
      Avoid slipping in the bath.

Place a bathtub mat at the bottom of your tub. Oatmeal is slippery and you can fall without a mat.

    • 3

Fill your bathtub with lukewarm water. Sprinkle a handful of your oatmeal under the running faucet. Swirl the oatmeal into your bath. Sprinkle enough oatmeal into your bath to develop a milky appearance.

    • 4
      Gently dry yourself.

Sit in your bath for up to 10 minutes. Rinse your body with fresh water. Dry your body with a towel.

    Sock Method

    • 5
      Use a sock.

Place 1 cup of oats into a sock. Wrap the open end of the sock onto the tub's faucet and tie a loose knot.

    • 6
Ensure that the oats are covered with water.

Turn your faucet on and run lukewarm water over the sock. Allow the oatmeal to soften.

    • 7

Squeeze the sock gently. The oatmeal will release a milky fluid into your bath. Continue to squeeze until your bath water turns milky.

    • 8

Sit in your bath for up to 10 minutes. Rinse your body with fresh water. Dry your body with a towel.
