Is it normal to sleep walk?
Somnambulism, or sleepwalking, is a common parasomnia, meaning an abnormal behavior that occurs during sleep. It is characterized by a person getting out of bed and walking around while asleep. Sleepwalking typically occurs during the deep, non-REM stage of sleep and is most common in children, although it can also occur in adults. Sleepwalking is usually harmless, but it can sometimes be dangerous if the person sleepwalks into a dangerous situation, such as near stairs or a window. If you are concerned about your sleepwalking, you should talk to your doctor.
