Who is most likely to sleepwalk?

Sleepwalking (somnambulism) is common during childhood but tends to go away with normal development by late adolescence. If it persists into adulthood or begins in adulthood, an adult can be considered a chronic sleepwalker. Adults tend to be male, in their twenties or thirties, have a family history of sleepwalking, be under great stress, sleep-deprived, ill, taking certain medications, and/or under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
