How to Lower the Air Pressure on a ResMed AutoSet
The ResMed Auto Set Variable Positive Airway Pressure (VPAP) device is used to treat obstructive sleep apnea. When turned on, it provides a low level of air pressure and builds to the pressure needed to keep the sleeper's airway clear. A sleep clinician sets the device so that it automatically adjusts the air pressure as needed throughout the night. The clinician can enable the device to allow its user to adjust only the air pressure level provided when the user exhales during sleep. Call your sleep clinician to request access to the device's "Settle" and "Exhalation" menus to lower the exhalation air pressure.Instructions
