Can two minor children sleep together?

It can be normal for minor siblings to sleep together. While allowing kids to share a room can help comfort and soothe them, having two children sleep together can present some issues and risks.

Sharing a room with a sibling may hinder a child’s natural sense of privacy and independence, as well as their ability to self-regulate and practice self-care without supervision. It can also cause sibling rivalry or even conflicts. Sharing a bed with a sibling may result in poor sleep quality due to the different bedtimes, sleep habits, or sleep needs of each sibling, thereby further impacting their cognitive and emotional development.

There may also be potential risks to child safety and well-being, such as increased exposure to infectious diseases, injuries, and accidents. It is therefore recommended for each child to have their own bed and space, providing them with a safe, private environment for sleep, self-care, and personal growth.
