Styles of Respironics Masks

Philips Respironics continuous positive airway pressure, or CPAP, masks are available in a wide range of styles and sizes to fit infants through adults. CPAP masks connect to tubing that attaches to a CPAP machine. CPAP masks stay in place using headgear. Masks should be comfortable while providing a natural seal to minimize air leaks. These machines provide positive pressure to keep your airway open, and are used in the treatment of sleep apnea.
  1. Nasal

    • Nasal CPAP masks fit over your nose and rest on the upper lip. Philips Respironics ComfortGel nasal masks mold to your face for a better fit, seal and comfort. This mask comes in six sizes, from petite to large. The four-point headgear, made of lightweight material with a neoprene backing, holds the mask in place to prevent the mask from slipping while you sleep. Philips Respironics makes several styles including the ComfortGel, ComfortSelect, ComfortClassic and the Profile Lite Gel nasal CPAP masks.

    Full-Face

    • Full-face CPAP masks cover your nose and mouth using a gel technology that molds to your face for a comfortable, leak-proof fit. This type of mask provides a broad silicone forehead pad with replaceable gel cushions that fit into the mask frame. Full-face masks have ball-and-socket clips so you can easily release the mask without adjusting the straps. All Philips Respironics masks are latex-free.

    Nasal Pillow

    • Philips Respironics makes a lightweight CPAP nasal pillow that fits directly over the nares, or nose holes, and sits on top of the upper lip. This type of mask is smaller than the nasal mask and designed for an active sleeper. This type of mask is also ideal for individuals with facial hair. Nasal pillows come in small, medium and large and have replaceable cushions. Philips Respironics sells the GoLife for Men, ComfortLite 2 and OptiLife nasal pillow CPAP masks with headgear.

    Total Face

    • The outer seal of the total face mask rests on the perimeter of your face, enclosing the mouth, nose and eyes and allowing the silicone cushion of the mask to seal comfortably to minimize air leaks. As air pressure from your CPAP machine inflates the soft layer surrounding the mask, it also provides positive pressure to the airway. This mask comes with easy-release clips so the mask can be disconnected without removing the head gear.
