How to Eliminate Snoring
Instructions
-
-
1
Sleep on your side or on your stomach. Sleeping on your back causes bad posture and can obstruct breathing, which is why people snore.
-
2
Avoid depressants such as painkillers, alcohol and other substances that affect the muscles and may restrict your air passages and cause snoring. It's all right to drink alcohol during the day, but avoid it in the evening.
-
3
Use adhesive nasal strips that open your nasal passages while you sleep.
-
4
Exercise and lose weight. According to WebMD, losing 10 percent of your body weight can decrease your snoring. Extra body weight can cause trouble breathing.
-
5
Take antihistamines or decongestants if you have chronic sinus problems. Consult your doctor if these problems persist.
