How to Find a Sleep Doctor

Finding a sleep doctor--a medical doctor or Ph.D.-trained therapist who specializes in the treatment of sleep disorders, either through surgery, drugs or behavioral therapy--is a straightforward process and simple to do. There are two possible ways to find a sleep doctor; the easiest way is to search for a sleep center. The American Academy of Sleep Medicine certifies all the staff at a sleep center and maintains a searchable list of all sleep centers and their staff. The American Board of Sleep Medicine is also a good resource.
