1
Find out when you obtained your current machines. If over five years have passed, bring the machine to a sleep center for an evaluation for functionality and possible replacement.
-
2
Write a detailed letter to your insurance company. Include pictures of your existing machine showing damage or wear and tear on the machine. Explain the ways the machine is not functioning and request a replacement machine.
-
3
Talk to your local physician and ask for a prescription for a new machine.
-
4
Take your existing machine to a medical supply store and ask them to evaluate the machine. Discuss a replacement machine with the staff.
-
5
Attend a sleep study. Have your sleep disorder evaluated by medical professionals during a sleep study. Take the results of that sleep study to your insurance company and request a new machine.
