What is a sling shot made out of?

A slingshot, also known as a catapult or shanghai, is a simple device used to launch small projectiles. It is typically made of a Y-shaped wooden or metal frame and two rubber bands. The rubber bands are attached to the ends of the frame and then stretched, creating tension. When the projectile is placed in the pouch at the centre of the rubber bands and released, the stored energy in the stretched rubber bands is transferred to the projectile, propelling it forward.
