1
Purchase an adhesive sports tape that is fairly rigid and not stretchy in composition.
-
2
Wash the area with soap and water and dry thoroughly.
-
3
Wrap the tape around the palm of the hand once and tear the tape. Also wrap the top of the wrist once and tear the tape again.
-
4
Bend the wrist backward slightly and form an "x" across the back of the hand with two separate pieces of tape. Extend each piece of tape from the wrist up to the side of the hand. One piece should be going diagonally from left to right, and the other piece of tape should cross the first piece from right to left.
-
5
Create another "X the same way, but this time performing the taping on the palm side of the hand and wrist.
-
6
Wrap two or three pieces of tape on the back side of the wrist and hand and on the front side as well. Each piece should cover the wrist or hand horizontally. Start from the wrist and move upward, allowing each new piece of tape to overlap the previous one.
