Treatments for Knee Pain
There are many causes of knee pain. Inflammatory conditions like arthritis and bursitis can set in, it can be the result of overuse or it be caused by an injury that occurred in a sport or accident. In any situation, whenever there is knee pain, there is a way to treat it.-
Immobility

One of the most common ways to treat knee pain is rest. When the knee is immobile, it can help it to heal faster.
Ice

Ice is used to treat knee pain that has just occurred. It helps to keep down swelling and inflammation.
Stretching

After rehabbing from knee surgery, the ligaments and tendons get tight, which can lead to pain. To alleviate this pain, the knee can be stretched in a slow and controlled fashion. This is usually done in physical therapy.
NSAIDS

Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories are over-the-counter medications used to treat knee pain. Some examples of these are aspirin, naproxen and ibuprofen.

Another way to treat knee pain is to protect it. Knee braces and knee wraps can be applied to limit the range of motion and protect it from getting hit.
