How to Fit Crutches

Put your shoes on (if you are not wearing them).

Place the crutches under your arms and allow your arms to hang down by the side of your crutches.

Adjust the space so that you have two inches between the armpit and the crutch. If the crutch is too high, you will not be able to measure that space until you lower the crutch.

Check to make sure the hand grips are at wrist level.

Adjust the crutches accordingly. You may need to adjust the crutch up or down, depending on your height, to reach the ideal level.
