What is broad-based spondylitic ridging?

Broad-based spondylitic ridging

- Refers to ankylosis that involves multiple vertebrae as they fuse anteriorly and posteriorly across several segments along both sides of the vertebra (i.e., the anterior and posterior margins)

- This results in bridging between vertebral bodies across multiple levels along the vertebra

- Is common in diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH).
