How to Add Air to My Aircast
Doctors prescribe Aircasts for a variety of ankle injuries, including edemas, sprains, fractures and soft tissue injuries. The cast features two inflatable pockets around the ankle, designed to comfortably support the injured region. Aircasts include a hand pump used to manually inflate air pockets to the required level.Instructions

1
Secure the Aircast around your injured ankle according to your physician's guidelines, or the instructions included with your brace. A new Aircast should be inflated already.
-
2
Insert the inflate tip of the hand pump into the brace valve located on the outside of the cast. Cover the pressure-relief valve with one finger.
-
3
Squeeze the hand pump, until the cast is inflated to your liking. It should feel snug around your ankle without restricting circulation.
-
4
Remove your finger from the pressure-relief valve for 3 to 5 seconds. Remove the pump from the brace valve.
-
5
Deflate the cast by placing the deflate tip of the hand pump into the valve. Squeeze the hand pump to deflate the cast.
