How to Tape an Injuried Ankle

Ankle injuries are common in sports involving running, jumping or changing direction quickly. Ankle injuries happen when the ligaments are twisted or turned, which causes pain as well as the possibility of further injury. The ankle joints are protected by the ligaments, but they can rupture. Taping your ankles prior to these types of activities will reduce the possibility of injury. Stretching prior to activities that can affect your ankles is recommended as well as wrapping them.
