It is recommended that you start immediately and continue physical therapy regularly after you or someone you know has been a victim of a stroke.

Undergo proper medical care after a stroke. It is important to receive proper medical care when recovering from a stroke. Meet with your doctor and identify the cause that triggered the stroke. Work to eliminate or reduce the cause in order to reduce your chances of having another stroke. Also, you may want to consider hiring home care nurses to assist paralyzed or partially paralyzed stroke victims with bathing, eating and other things that may not be able to be done independently.

Consider social groups for stroke victims. Social groups for stroke victims are helpful to stroke victims. These groups are usually sponsored by rehabilitation centers, general hospitals and community centers.
