What Is Armour Thyroid & Is it Safe?

Armour thyroid is a prescription thyroid replacement medication made from desiccated (dried) porcine (pig) thyroid powder. It is used to treat hypothyroidism, a condition where the body does not have sufficient thyroid hormone.
