Lymphosarcoma & Adenocarcinoma

Lymphosarcoma, also known as lymphoma, and adenocarcinoma, are both forms of cancer. They affect different parts of the body, though they can occur at the same time. Adenocarcinoma is usually found in the lungs or stomach.
  1. Lymphosarcoma Definition

    • Lymphosarcoma is a term used to describe a cancerous, malignant tumor located in the lymphatic system. Doctors no longer use the term to describe this illness. They have replaced it with the term "lymphoma."

    Lymphosarcoma Now

    • Veterinarians still use the term lymphosarcoma to describe cancer of the lymphoid system in cats and dogs. While it can affect any area of the lymphoid system, it is most common in the nodes of the animal.

    Adenocarcinoma Definition

    • Adenocarcinoma is a form of cancer involving the mutations of cells that line certain internal organs.

    Adenocarcinoma-Affected Organs

    • Adenocarcinoma most commonly affects glandular organs. These can include the colon and stomach, breasts, cervix and lungs. Forty percent of lung cancer patients have this form of cancer.

    Relation

    • There are cases of simultaneous lymphoma and adenocarcinoma, especially if the latter is affecting the stomach.
