How to Use Misoprostol

Misoprostol is used to prevent peptic ulcers in patients taking anti-inflammatory drugs or blood thinners like aspirin. Misoprostol reduces the amount of stomach acid produced and provides a protective layer over the mucous membrane. This medication is also used for other gynecological conditions, like abortions and postpartum hemorrhaging.
