Uninary Tract Infection Cures
A urinary system is composed of four parts; the kidneys, bladder, urethra and the ureters. A urinary tract infection starts in the urinary system and most normally happens in the urethra and bladder. Some symptoms of a urinary tract infection include a burning when trying to urinate, blood or bacteria in the urine, a need or urge to go but only urinating very little. There are some steps you can take to cure the infection as you will find in the following sections. Once you are cured, make sure you take the appropriate steps in keeping yourself healthy.-
Baking Soda
-
A mixture of baking soda and water can be combined together to offer relief from a urinary tract infection. This is a simple and inexpensive way to help cure the problem. Combine ½ tsp. baking soda and approximately 8 oz. of water. By drinking this mixture, you are raising the balance of acid in your acidic urine.
Cranberry Juice
-
A common home remedy for urinary tract infection is the cranberry juice. If you love cranberry juice, this should be no problem for you, but for those who can't stomach the juice, you can mix it with a little apple juice for a better taste.
The cranberry juice helps line the urinary tract which stops the bacteria from clinging to the cell. Many people swear by this and have often found relief just after a couple of days. You may want to try dried cranberries if you don't like the juice, but this will not be as effective as the real thing. Whole cranberries can be bought fresh or frozen and may offer some comfort as well.
Water
-
Water plays an important role in our bodies and since most of our bodies consist of water, it's no wonder that water would be a cure. Water aids in the release of toxins and bacteria that causes the infection.
Drinking plenty of water will help ensure that you are keeping your system clean and keeping the flow of urine normal. Try adding a slice of lemon to the water if you don't like drinking plain water. Try drinking at least 6 to 8 glasses of water a day to keep you flushed out.
Aromatherapy
-
Aromatherapy can be very relaxing and can stimulate and cure the bladder area. A mixture of different herbs can be combined in your home for a quick cure. An oil mixture of sandalwood, bergamot, frankincense, tea tree and juniper can be concocted and used externally on the bladder. You can combine equal parts of the above and save what you don't use for future incidents. Continue the massaging of the oil mixture for several days until you get relief.
