Drink a lot of liquids as soon as you notice UTI symptoms. Usually right after your first urinaration of the day you will notice symptoms of a UTI. My daughter's and I refer to this as mad bladder. Distilled water is preferable over tap water.

Try UTI natural remedies immediately. Know the symptoms of a UTI. Symptoms include frequent and painful urination, strong smelling urine, lower abdominal pain, and possibly blood in the urine. There are in home urinary tract infection self tests available which are FDA approved and can be found in drugstores. Look for Roche Chemstrip 2LN, or Chemstrip 6,7, 9 or 10SG.

100% pure cranberry extract or capsules should be taken immediately. Do not attempt to use cranberry juice cocktail which is loaded with sugar and can make the symptoms of a UTI much worse.

Try dandelion or marshmallow teas which can help to cleanse and strengthen the bladder.

Fresh blueberries have a high antioxidant content whcih help prevent UTI symptoms.
