1
Try over-the-counter remedies that can be found at the local drugstore. These can be creams, lotions and suppositories. While these may temporarily fix a yeast infection in men, they may only provide short-term relief.
-
2
Buy plain, unsweetened yogurt to eat. The bacteria that is found in yogurt can rid the body of the yeast infection.
-
3
Take a garlic pill once a day, or eat raw garlic. Garlic has been known to fight yeast infections, and has many other health benefits, as well.
-
4
Take oil of oregano once a day, or as directed by a doctor.
-
5
Drink plenty of water. By drinking water, you cause the body to urinate frequently, flushing out the yeast in your body.
-
6
Avoid antibiotics while harboring a yeast infection, as these can make an infection worse by weakening the immune system.
-
7
Talk to your doctor if you cannot get rid of your yeast infection on your own. He may prescribe a prescription drug or cream that can rid the body of the infection faster.
