For the past 24hrs i feel like got to pee but urinate why is that?
Here are some possible reasons for this sensation:
- Urinary tract infection (UTI): A UTI is a bacterial infection of the urinary tract, which includes the kidneys, ureters, bladder, and urethra. UTIs can cause frequent and urgent urination, as well as a burning or stinging sensation during urination.
- Overactive bladder (OAB): OAB is a condition in which the bladder muscles contract too often, leading to frequent urination and a sudden, strong urge to urinate.
- Interstitial cystitis (IC): IC is a chronic pain condition of the bladder that can cause frequent urination, pain in the bladder and pelvic area, and a feeling of pressure or fullness in the bladder.
- Prostate problems: In men, an enlarged prostate gland can put pressure on the urethra, which can cause difficulty urinating and a feeling of needing to urinate frequently.
- Medications: Certain medications, such as diuretics and some antidepressants, can increase urine production and cause frequent urination.
- Caffeine and alcohol: Consuming too much caffeine or alcohol can also increase urine output and lead to more frequent urination.
If you are experiencing this sensation for more than 24 hours, it is important to see a doctor for evaluation to determine the cause and receive appropriate treatment.
