What can urethritis cause?

Urethritis can cause the following symptoms:

1. Pain or burning sensation during urination

2. Frequent urination or feeling an urgent need to urinate

3. Cloudy or discoloured urine

4. Blood in the urine

5. Lower abdominal pain or discomfort

6. Painful sexual intercourse

7. Itching or irritation at the opening of the urethra

8. Discharge from the opening of the urethra

9. Fever and chills in severe cases
