Is it a good idea to go water park while you have urinary tract infection?
Swimming pools and water parks can be a source of bacteria, which can worsen a UTI. The warm, moist environment of a water park is ideal for bacteria to grow and multiply. When you swim in a pool or water park, you can come into contact with bacteria that can enter your urethra and cause an infection.
In addition, the chemicals used to disinfect pools and water parks can irritate the lining of your urethra and make it more susceptible to infection.
If you have a UTI, it's best to avoid swimming pools and water parks until you have completed your course of antibiotics and your symptoms have resolved.
