What is urethrocystitis?
Urethrocystitis is a condition that causes inflammation of the urethra and bladder. It is most commonly caused by a bacterial infection, but can also be caused by other factors such as trauma, radiation therapy, or certain medications.
Symptoms of urethrocystitis can include:
* Pain or burning during urination
* Frequent urination
* Urgency to urinate
* Cloudy or bloody urine
* Pelvic pain
* Fever
* Chills
* Fatigue
Treatment for urethrocystitis typically involves antibiotics to clear the infection. Other treatments may include pain relievers, anti-inflammatory medications, and avoiding irritants. In some cases, surgery may be necessary to correct any underlying structural problems.
Urethrocystitis can be a serious condition if not treated promptly. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of urethrocystitis, it is important to see a doctor right away.
