Do red blood cells or white attack the flu virus?
When it comes to the flu, the body's immune system responds to the virus by producing antibodies that specifically target and neutralize the flu virus. These antibodies are produced by white blood cells called B cells. Once the antibodies bind to the virus, they prevent it from infecting cells and help the body clear the infection.
Additionally, white blood cells called T cells can also recognize and destroy cells that have been infected with the flu virus.
