Why are viruses not classified into any five kingdom?

Viruses are not classified into any of the five kingdoms because they do not meet the criteria for being considered living organisms. Viruses lack a cell membrane, cytoplasm, and DNA or RNA, which are all essential characteristics of living organisms. Additionally, viruses are not able to reproduce on their own, but instead require a host cell in order to replicate. Therefore, viruses are not classified into any of the five kingdoms, but are instead considered to be a distinct type of biological entity.
