How is the cold virus transmitted?
The common cold is primarily spread through respiratory droplets. When an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks, tiny droplets containing the virus are expelled into the air. These droplets can be inhaled by others nearby, leading to infection. The virus can also be transmitted through direct contact with an infected person's secretions, such as saliva or mucus, or by touching surfaces or objects contaminated with the virus and then touching the face, particularly the eyes, nose, or mouth.
