How long after you get the virus make sick?
The time between exposure to the virus and the onset of symptoms, known as the incubation period, can vary from person to person. For COVID-19, the incubation period is typically 2 to 14 days, with an average of 5 days. However, some people may experience symptoms as early as 1 day after exposure or as late as 14 days or longer.
It's important to note that during the incubation period, an infected person may not experience any symptoms yet, but they can still transmit the virus to others. This is why public health measures such as social distancing, mask-wearing, and hand hygiene are important to help prevent the spread of the virus.
