How to Remove Plantar Warts on Fingers
Plantar warts are caused by HPV (human papillomavirus). They generally occur on the toes and soles of the feet, although they can rarely occur on fingers. Plantar warts are self-limiting, but they can be painful, last for a long time and are contagious, therefore they should be treated right away. The typical treatment for any plantar wart is over-the-counter salicylic acid. Salicylic acid is a topical medicine that is fairly simple to use.Things You'll Need

1
Read the instructions on the package of salicylic acid carefully, especially the warnings.
-
2
Wash your hand with soap and water and then dry it thoroughly.
-
3
Rub the area around the wart gently with a soft brush, emery board or rough cloth to remove any loose skin.
-
4
Shake the medication container to ensure that the lotion is mixed.
-
5
Apply a thin layer of the medication over the wart area. Make sure the area is thoroughly covered.
-
6
Apply the medication regularly for the full amount of time prescribed by your doctor, even if you don't notice any results right away. If your warts are still there at the end of the prescribed time, consult with your doctor to find out if you need to repeat the treatment, or move on to a more aggressive treatment.
