How to Get Rid of the Wart Virus in Your Body
Warts are a pesky problem that almost everyone will face at some point. Caused by the uuman papilloma virus (HPV), warts are small growths than can form almost anywhere, from the skin to the inside of the mouth or the bottoms of the feet. Warts are contagious and can be spread from one part of the body to another and from one person to another. Wart Removal with Salicylic Acid
-
1
Purchase an over-the-counter wart-removal liquid with salicylic acid. Salicylic acid causes irritation to the wart, which elicits an immune reaction from the body, hopefully leading the body to destroy the wart on its own.
-
2
Apply the salicylic acid to the wart as the package directs. It is best to apply the acid to skin just after the shower, when the skin is patted dry but still is damp, so the acid can sink in deeper. Depending on the product, you might need to reapply a few times a day for days or weeks.
-
3
You can increase the efficacy of the wart remover by covering the affected area with duct tape after application. Wrap the tape tightly over the area, and remove it only when you need to reapply the wart remover.
-
4
Remove the duct tape once daily, and use the pumice stone or emory board to scrub the surface of the wart, removing dead skin cells. Wash the affected area thoroughly, then reapply wart remover and fresh duct tape.
