Quick Ways to Remove Warts
-
Cyrotherapy
-
Freeze the wart with liquid nitrogen. This method is called cryotherapy and can be done at home without medical supervision. It is highly effective and poses almost no infection risk. Your doctor or dermatologist can assist you in this procedure.
Freezing Process
-
Make sure your skin condition is in fact a wart. If you are unsure have your dermatologist confirm the diagnosis. Buy a wart freezing treatment kit from your local pharmacy for between $20 and $30. Some doctors recommend the use of salicylic gel in preparing the area every night for two weeks before the treatment.
The solution in the container is sprayed on the area and it freezes the wart. In a few days, the wart should fall off.
Cantharidin and Surgery
-
Ask your doctor about the chemical Cantharidin. This chemical blisters the wart, leaving dead skin for the doctor to remove on a subsequent visit. More than one application may be needed to remove the wart.
Surgical removal through cutting or laser can also be a fast remedy, but have the downside of being painful and the procedures often leave a scar.
