How to Get Rid of Warts Easily
Warts are small but unsightly skin growths triggered in some people by the human papillomavirus. Mark Stengler of the National College of Natural Medicine says that the most common medical treatments, such as cryotherapy or salicylic acid, can cause pain and scarring. There is an easier way to get rid of warts with greatly reduced side effects. This treatment uses a common food item, and its effectiveness has been proven by research.Things You'll Need

1
Wash the wart and the skin surrounding it, then dry it gently with a towel. Use regular soap rinsed off thoroughly with water. This prepares the wart and allows it to properly absorb the treatment.
-
2
Apply liquid garlic extract to the wart. You can purchase it at many natural food stores. A study published in the International Journal of Dermatology showed that garlic extract got rid of warts in all study participants.
-
3
Use chopped-up garlic cloves if you can't find the extract. A study using cloves showed that they are just as effective, although they take longer to get rid of the warts.
-
4
Leave the skin uncovered and let the garlic remain on the wart for several hours. Try to avoid rinsing it off when you wash your hands.
-
5
Repeat the process twice a day until you have gotten rid of the wart. According to the International Journal of Dermatology, researchers found that liquid garlic extract usually made warts disappear within two weeks. Garlic cloves took up to nine weeks to completely cure the warts.
