Most Effective Way to Remove Flat Warts

Flat warts usually occur in children and disappear on their own. The warts most often appear on the face, but there are cases of flat warts on the hands and knees of some patients. Treatment is often unnecessary, but when they become a source of extreme embarrassment, removing the warts is an option.

This procedure will leave a scar and can be painful.

      Medical treatment is often the most effective treatment for removing warts. The doctor can assess the wart and suggest a treatment option that will work best for the location of the wart. Not all medical treatments for removing warts guarantee that it will not return. However, medical wart removal through surgery and cryotherapy will remove the wart, at least in the short term.

    Natural Treatments

    • Herbal and natural treatments do not scar the skin and are often used because they are less expensive and painful. There is no cure for the human papilloma virus, which is responsible for warts. Herbal treatments include apple cider vinegar and tea tree oil. These two ingredients are used for their antiviral properties and may be able to effectively eliminate warts.

      Herbal treatments are a good choice for avoiding pain and expense, but they do not necessarily work in every case. Experimentation is required to use these treatments.
