How to Get Rid of a Thumb Wart

Are you wondering what that small, rough outgrowth on your thumb is? Commonly induced by human papilloma virus, these contagious thumb warts can be acquired from another person with warts or from contaminated towels, razors, etc. Warts can be diagnosed on clinical examination or by viewing an incised portion of the outgrowth under the microscope in skin biopsy. Thumb warts normally occur in the adolescent phase of life or in childhood.
