What are plantar warts?
Plantar warts are a common skin condition caused by a human papillomavirus (HPV) infection. They typically appear on the soles of the feet, and can resemble small, hard, and grainy bumps. Plantar warts often have tiny black dots, which represent clotted blood vessels. These warts can vary in size and number, and may sometimes cause discomfort or pain, especially when walking or standing.
