1
See a doctor if you notice your plantar wart becomes swollen, sensitive to the touch, painful, or hot. Seek immediate care if you develop a fever or if your wart begins to ooze or leak pus.
-
2
Take any antibiotics your doctor gives you until they are gone. Do not stop your treatment if your symptoms begin to ease, you risk developing a tolerance to the antibiotics that render them useless against your infection.
-
3
Wait for your infection to clear and apply a natural medication to your plantar wart, such as over-the-counter Dermisil. Apply this plant-extracted medicine onto your wart to destroy and dissolve its tissues.
-
4
Apply an over-the-counter salicylic acid preparation, (found in most pharmacies) to help soothe the pain associated with plantar warts.
-
5
Immerse your affected foot in hot water for 1.5 hours daily, or apply Vitamin A by breaking open a Vitamin A capsule (purchased at most drug stores) directly onto your wart to speed the healing process. Using Vitamin A boosts your body's natural healing process and shortens the duration of warts.

6
Treat your plantar wart at home by placing a piece of duct tape over it. Remove the tape after seven days and soak your plantar wart in warm water. Rub the wart with a pumice stone and recover it with the duct tape. Repeat this process for six to eight weeks, or until your plantar wart is gone.
