How to Thin Compound W

Used to remove warts, Compound W can be thinned with water. The key ingredient in Compound W is topical salicylic acid. This powerful ingredient can cause skin to dry. If you have sensitive skin, diluting Compound W before applying it enables your skin to gradually adjust to the drug. The liquid and gel form of Compound W can be thinned gradually by adding a couple drops of water with an eyedropper, stirring, then repeating the process until the Compound W is diluted.
