How to Remove Dr Scholl's One Step Corn Remover Strip

Dr. Scholl's Onestep Corn Remover medicated bandages employ salicylic acid to loosen and peel corns away from your skin. According to the company, you may only need as few as two strips to completely remove a corn from your foot, although you might need more in some cases. Removing the strip from your skin to change it is much the same as removing an ordinary bandage. Note that it may take seven treatments and up to 14 days, before the corn itself is ready for removal.

Instructions

    • 1

Use your fingernail to separate the bandage from the skin at one end. Peel all the way around the half-moon shape of the edge, then lift it slowly off the skin.

    • 2

Work the bandage off the skin, aiming toward the middle of the bandage where the corn is located. You can quicken the removal a little bit before reaching the patch on top of your corn, but slow down once you reach this spot.

    • 3

Lift each side of the patch on the long side of the bandage, if it is stuck to your skin. Take a clean finger to carefully lift the pad from the top of the corn if it is stuck.

    • 4

Continue the removal process as described. At this point, you can yank it off more quickly, as you won't risk ripping into the patched area where the corn is located.
