How to Renew Your First Aid Certification

According to the Health and Safety Department at the American Red Cross Central Florida Headquarters, you can renew first-aid certification two ways. Either take the first aid course, or take the first-aid test. The process can take one to four hours. If confident with your first-aid knowledge, you should take the test. However, if you feel you may fail the test, it's best to take the course over. If you fail the test you don't get your fee back, but when you pay and attend the course you'll get your certification simply upon completing it.
