How to Keep a Full Arm Bandage Dry During a Shower

That is why it is important to keep the bandages dry at all times. If water gets in a bandage, it will mold the fabric and smell. It will also cause irritation of the skin under the cast. - Trash bag (13 gallon size)
- Compression bandage
- Duct tape

Put the bandaged arm in the trash bag. It should cover it completely.

Starting at the hand, begin wrapping the compression bandage around the arm over the trash bag. Cover the arm completely until you reach the shoulder.

Secure the end of the compression bandage with duct tape. Wrap the tape around the top of the compression bandage at the shoulder. Make sure the trash bag is completely covered and the duct tape seal is water tight.
