How to Make a Salt Compress for a Keloid Scar
Keloid scars are raised, bumpy scars on the skin that grow outside the area of the original injury. They are sometimes red, can be unattractive and may appear as a result of body piercings. Keloid scars most often form on the chest, back, shoulders, and earlobes, according to MedicineNet. If you have a wound that becomes infected or have repeated injuries or piercings to the same area, you are more likely to develop a keloid scar. You may find relief from the pain and itching of the scars with salt compresses, which you can make yourself.Things You'll Need
