1
Pour a small amount of hydrogen peroxide onto the open wound. The peroxide will clean the injury and keep infection away. The wound will bubble where the peroxide touches. Wait until the bubbling stops and pour a small amount again. Continue this action until the bubbling subsides.

2
Once the wound has dried, rub an antibiotic ointment onto the injury. This will keep outside germs from getting into the wound.
-
3
Put a bandage over the wound. It is important to keep the bandage dry. If you do get the bandage wet, dry the wound and change the bandage.
-
4
For the first few days, repeat this process twice a day. After those few days, you only have to change it once a day until the wound is healed.

5
Once your wound has closed up, apply scar-reducing topical gel in the morning and at night. This will help to fade scars that have formed.
