How to Sterilize Ace Bandages
Ace bandages are used to wrap injured ankles or other body parts to prevent further injury. In general an Ace bandage should be disposed of and replaced after use, especially if that use involves bodily fluids or infection. Typical sterilization methods such as exceptionally hot water and alcohol will cause an Ace bandage to break down and be unusable. If you absolutely need to re-use an Ace bandage here is a way to kill some of the bacteria that might be present on the bandage.Things You'll Need
- Ace bandage
- Antibacterial dish soap
- Bowl

Fill a small bowl with warm water and a small amount of antibacterial dishwashing soap.

Mix the soap and water until the soap has been completely diluted in the water.

Unwrap your Ace bandage and put it into the bowl. Gently rub any areas of the bandage that may have been soiled during its previous use.

Remove the Ace bandage from the water and rinse off all of the soap on the bandage using hot water.

Lay the bandage out flat (not rolled up) and allow it to air dry.
