A great way to remove a foreign object from the nasal passage is to try and get the victim to sneeze. Ask him to sniff some black pepper or tickle the inner lining of rhe nasal passage with a light feather. This will encourage the victim to forcefully sneeze and help to extract the object at the same time.

Use a pair of tweezers and try to extract the object carefully from the nose. Use a mini flashlight so you can have a clear visual of the object before entering the nasal passage with the tweezers. This procedure must be done slowly and carefully to avoid lodging or pushing the object deeper into the nose.

Ask the person to blow gently into a tissue while pushing down and pinching the unaffected nostril. Hopefully, the increased pressure from obstructing the unaffected nostril will force the object out of the nose.

Once the object is successfully removed, check the nostril to see if there is any sign of blood or lesions caused by the object. Wash and flush the nostrils with warm water. If there is bleeding present from injury caused by the object, seek medical attention immediately.
