How to Tape a Bruised Heel
The whole body, in no small part, depends on the heel. The heel, however, is protected only by a pad of fat, and repeated pounding of that pad can lead to bruising. Luckily, a bruised heel--also known as "policeman's heel"--can be treated fairly easily, if caught early enough.Things You'll Need
- Non-stretch, 1" zinc oxide tape
Instructions

1
Affix one strip of tape, starting from the middle of your arch on one side, around the heel and ending at the middle of your arch on the other side. This will serve as the "anchor strip."
-
2
Affix a "support strip" to the underside of the foot, at the middle of the arch. Each end of the support strip should overlap the ends of the first strip.
-
3
Repeat Step 1, such that the second anchor strip overlaps the ends of the support strip.
-
4
Making your way down towards the heel, add another support strip as in Step 2.
-
5
Continue to add alternating support strips and anchor strips, until the heel is covered.
