If an impaled object is penetrating the chest first aider should?

Impaled Object in the Chest

- Call for emergency help immediately.

- If the object is still in the person’s chest, do not remove it.

- Do not attempt to push the object further into the person.

- Stabilize the object by placing a bulky dressing around the object.

- If the person is unconscious, start CPR immediately.

- If the person is conscious, try to keep them calm.
