What is a condition caused by repeated blows to the head?

Chronic traumatic encephalopathy (CTE) is a progressive degenerative brain disease found in athletes, military veterans, and others with a history of repetitive head trauma. Symptoms of CTE can include memory loss, confusion, impaired judgment, aggression, depression, and dementia. In severe cases, CTE can be fatal. There is no cure for CTE, but treatment can help to manage symptoms and improve quality of life.
